The Government Technical Officers (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) Association (GTOA), representing the All Sri Lanka State Service Technical Officers unions, participated in a significant discussion with the Honorable Minister for Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils, and Local Government. The meeting was held on 11 th January 2025 at the Ministry of Public Administration in Colombo. 

 The primary focus of the meeting was to address and identify solutions to the pressing issues faced by State Service Technical Officers across the country. The discussion was attended by the President of the GTOA, Mr. A.J.M.S.R. Jayasekara, and the Hon. Secretary, Mr. A.P. Buwanayake, along with twenty Executive Committee members representing various regions island-wide. Other key stakeholders also participated actively. 

The Sri Lanka Government Technical Officers Union, Northern Province (SLGTOU-NP), was the sole representative union from the Northern Province participating in this association and its related activities.
